The Senate holds distinct powers, including the confirmation of presidential appointments, the approval of treaties, and the adjudication of impeachment cases initiated by the House of Representatives. Additionally,the Senate and the House collectively function as a check on the powers of the executive and judicial branches.As the upper house of Congress, the Senate exercises a range of advisory and consent powers, including the ratification of treaties and the confirmation of executive appointments.
In BBALMUN’26 United States Senate committee,delegates will take part as the 50 states representative,in order to discuss and generate ideas upon the Great Depression,the most devastating economic crisis and the Mariel Boatlift Crisis, one of the largest waves of migration America has ever faced throughout the history;furthermore
providing solutions for the management of these crises.
